  • 1 oz cranberry juice preferably 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 4 oz champagne or sparkling wine chilled
  • a handful fresh cranberries for garnish
  • 1 tsp orange zest optional for garnish

Equipment

  • Champagne flute
  • Measuring Jigger

Method

  1. Pour the cranberry juice into a small saucepan and warm it over low heat until it is steaming and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  2. Pour the warmed cranberry juice into a champagne flute, filling about one-third of the glass.
  3. Slowly pour chilled champagne or sparkling wine into the glass, filling it to the top, to create a bubbly layer that gently mixes with the cranberry juice.
  4. Garnish the drink with a few fresh cranberries and, if desired, a twist of orange zest for aroma and visual appeal.
  5. Serve immediately while the bubbles are lively and enjoy the refreshing, tart brightness of this sparkling cocktail.

Notes

For extra visual flair, add a few more cranberries or a citrus slice. Adjust the sweetness by varying the cranberry juice or adding a splash of sparkling water if desired.
