Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen lime juice can substitute with fresh lime juice and ice if desired
  • 1.5 cups frozen mixed fruit strawberries, mango, or berries work well
  • 1 oz triple sec orange-flavored liqueur
  • 2 oz tequila preferably silver or blanco
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup optional, adjust sweetness to taste

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Add the frozen lime juice, frozen mixed fruit, triple sec, tequila, and simple syrup into the blender.
  2. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed for about 30-45 seconds, until the mixture is thick, smooth, and icy, with a consistent texture. You should see the ingredients fully liquefy and become slushy.
  3. Stop the blender and check the texture; if it's too thick, add a splash of water or lime juice and blend briefly to loosen it. If too thin, add a few more frozen fruit cubes and blend again.
  4. Once the mixture is thick and scoopable, pour it into chilled glasses or mugs.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge or a sprig of mint if desired, and serve immediately with a straw or spoon for spooning the icy goodness.

Notes

For a gentler sweetness, reduce or omit the simple syrup. You can also customize the fruit types for different flavor profiles. Best enjoyed immediately for optimal texture.
