Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe peaches pitted and cubed
  • 1 piece lemon for zest and juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes or more for desired thickness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Peeler
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife

Method

  1. Peel the lemon with a peeler, then use a zester or fine grater to remove the outer zest, avoiding the bitter pith. Squeeze out the juice into a small bowl, removing any seeds.
  2. Add the cubed peaches, lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, and ice cubes to your blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and icy, about 30-45 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed.
  4. Check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash of water or additional lemon juice and blend again to reach your preferred smoothness.
  5. Pour the slushie into glasses, using a spoon to help fill if needed, and garnish with a small lemon wedge or a few peach slices if desired.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon, enjoying the icy, fruit-flavored refreshment perfect for a hot day.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a few fresh mint leaves before blending. Adjust sweetness by varying honey or adding more lemon for tartness.
